It is important to set aside the time and to be intentional about putting practices into place that will help us to manage our stress and help us boost our mental and physical wellbeing.
Here are some of the things we can do to help us reduce our stress burden:
Cold water immersion → This can lower our cortisol and boost our dopamine production.
Epsom salts baths → added to a warm bath this good source of magnesium can promote relaxation and reduce pain.
Journaling and gratitude practice → These can help to shift our focus away from our stressors.
Music therapy → Calming music or binaural beats can help to regulate our brain waves.
Implement a healthy sleep routine → Avoid screens before bed, keep a consistent schedule, and use magnesium or chamomile tea to unwind.
Practice deep breathing → Deep breathing exercises help to calm the nervous system and switch off the “fight or flight” response.
